• Horror In Oshodi As Area Boys Bath Law Enforcement Official With Acid

    There was horror in Oshodi Oke area of Lagos state when some area boys driving in a public Volkswagen bus poured acid on one Mr Akude Silas of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Task Force).
    The task force official who was bathed with acid was initially taken to the Lagos State Emergency Centre, Toll-Gate. He was later moved to the General Hospital in Ikeja for further treatment.
    Silas, the victim, was on duty to see to the free flow of vehicles and to stop street hawkers in Oshodi area of the state when the incident happened.
    An ugly incident involving a law enforcement agent occurred a few weeks back when a woman lost her nine-week-old pregnancy after police officers tortured her in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
    SP Olubukola Abe, the chairman of the Lagos state task force made this known while at the Emergency Ward of the General Hospital when he visited the Heads of Operations as well as other managerial staff of the Task Force who came to also visit the victim.
    SP Abe urged Lagosians to always get across the security agencies in case of emergency situations. He concluded by stating that his men and other law enforcement agencies would see to the enforcement of laws in the state.
